Durch das LEM-Prinzip (Last Elevation Memory) wird der Neigungswinkel gespeichert und bei neuer SAT-Suche direkt mit diesen Werten begonnen. Und sollte mal ein Hindernis den Empfang stören, können Sie Ihre Oyster jederzeit vom Dach nehmen (in Verbindung mit dem seperat erhältlichen Bodenmontagekit) und vom Boden aus TV empfangen.

Das HD bezeichnet eine eingebaute Festplatte im Receiver (ähnlich wie im PC), welche ein Datenvolumen von 80 GB (Gigabyte) aufzeichnen kann, was einer Aufnahmezeit von ca. 48 Stunden entspricht. Früher hätte man gesagt: "Ein eingebauter Videorecorder".

Ein DVB-T Tuner ist im Receiver eingebaut. DVB-T ist die englischsprachige Abkürzung für Digital Video Broadcasting–Terrestrial und bezeichnet die terrestrische (=erdgebundene) Verbreitung der Fernsehsignale in der Atmosphäre und ist eine Variante des DVB, die vor allem in verschiedenen europäischen Staaten sowie in Australien als Standard für die Übertragung von digitalem Fernsehen und Hörfunk (Radio) per Antenne verwendet wird.

Um bestmöglichen Empfang in den Randgebieten der westlichen und östlichen Urlaubsregionen zu erreichen, ist ein Drehen des Empfangskopfes (LNB) in die entsprechende Himmelsrichtung sinnvoll.
Damit wird der durch die Erdkrümmung entstandene Polarisationsfehlwinkel ausgeglichen.
Zur komfortablen Lösung gibt es nun diese Oyster Digital- Version mit einer vollautomatischen SKEW- Einstellung (LNB- Verstellung). Die Sat-Anlage erkennt automatisch in welche Himmelsrichtung das LNB gedreht werden muss und justiert mittels eines speziellen Motors selbstständig nach.

Bei diesem System muss erst ab einer Höhe von 135 mm ab Dachoberkante Platz vorgesehen werden, d. h. Dachaufbauten wie Klimaanlagen, Dachfenster in geöffnetem Zustand, Dachkoffer u.s.w. müssen sich ab dieser Höhe ausserhalb des Aktionsradius befinden. Gegenstände die niedriger als 135 mm ab Dachoberkante sind, wie z. B. die meisten Dachrelingarten, können sich auch innerhalb des Aktionsradius befinden und schränken diesen nicht ein.

Because of the LEM principle (Last Elevation Memory) the inclination is memorized at power down and when restarting the SAT-searching, it will start directly with the last value.

A DVB-T tuner is integrated into the receiver. DVB-T means Digital Video Broadcasting Terrestrial and describes the terestrial distribution of TV signals in the atmosphere. DVB-T is a version of DVB which is used for the transmission of digital TV and radio in several european states per antenna.

For best reception in the eastern or western borderlands turn the receiver (LNB) into the right point of the compass.
Thus, polarization loss angle resulting by the curvature of the earth will be adjusted.
As a comfortable support there is an Oyster Digital- version with a fully automated skew- adjustment (LNB- regulation). The satellite system recognizes automatically, in which point of the compass the LNB has to be turned and sets it autonomously using a special motor.

For this system you need space from a height of 135 mm from top of the roof, that means, roof systems as air conditioners, opened rooflights, roof boxes etc have to be removed from the radius of action.
